When I talk about Mendy, I talk about people—their bodies, their style, and their values. For me, that means a plus-size queer body, a personal style I usually described as “comfy mechanic,” and investing in human creativity over soul-sucking capitalism.

Unfortunately, it felt too damn hard to find and keep clothing that fit me in all these ways. So I decided to do something about it.

I’ve worked in tech for over a decade, mostly building online tools for small businesses and helping them thrive. I wanted to combine this background with my desire for a wardrobe that works for me to help creatives get more of the work they want and give people more alternatives to fast fashion.
